The Transformation
Before: pale grey walls, a white bath-and-shower combo, a small sink with a mirror cabinet, a chrome towel rail, and a floor still waiting for its tiles. Functional, clean, and utterly forgettable — the bathroom that comes free with the house. This is the photo the app started from.
After:same window (now framed in black), same towel-rail wall, same door on the right with its chrome handle — the app kept the room's bones and rebuilt everything inside them. The screed floor became veined black stone. The white suite became sculpture. The forgettable became the room guests photograph.
The Design
Boutique hotel bathrooms share one secret: they treat fixtures as furniture. This one does exactly that.
The freestanding matte black oval bathtub sits centre-right where the old suite ended — a clean sculptural form that anchors the whole room, served by a tall brushed brass floor-mounted faucet that arcs over it like a piece of plumbing jewellery. Behind it, the window keeps its position and its frosted glass but gains a black frame, turning daylight into a design feature. On the left wall, the full-width matte black vanity floats off the floor — handleless fluted drawers, a white marble top with an integrated white basin, and a brushed brass wall-mounted tap. Above it hangs the large round mirror with a thin black metal frame and integrated LED backlighting, its warm halo glowing against the room's single move of architectural drama: one black accent wall behind the vanity, with every other wall kept crisp white.
The shower completes the suite: a large walk-in shower behind matte-black-framed frameless glass, with a black rainfall showerhead, a matching handheld, brass hardware, and a recessed black niche for bottles. On the ceiling, black recessed downlights and a run of recessed linear black track replace the chrome spots.
